Richmond Events was formed as a management buy out from Emap Events in 1992 and has organised over 200 ship-based events since its inception. In 2006 it launched its first land-based event, The Human Resources Forum at Savoy Place, and three more land-based events are scheduled to take place in 2007.

The people who make decisions in industry today can't be reached through conventional trade shows. Richmond Events has developed a range of high-quality, ship-based forums specifically designed to attract these senior people.
